Spring 2024!

It’s the season of gorgeous ranunculus, colourful anemones, fragrant erlicheers, cheerful daffodils and dainty snowbells. It’s also the season of madly sowing seeds, dividing dahlia tubers and marathon weeding sessions. Every winter I am determined to keep on top of the weeds, but as of now I have yet to manage that feat! Instead, I spend winter browsing seed catalogues, drooling over dahlia varieties I need in my life, over ordering from said seed catalogues and enjoying cozy nights by the fire. Of course, this fits around mum life, homeschooling life and church life!

I have growing a few thousand ranunculus plants this season, and they’re starting to bud up. Ah so exciting! Keep an eye out for some workshops featuring these stunning Italian ranunculus beauties.

Subscriptions and bloom buckets will be hitting the website before too long as well. I can’t wait for you to experience the pleasure of having fresh flowers in your home or office. They also make a memorable gift!

The dahlia tubers are still sitting in crates waiting patiently for some attention. All going to plan they will be in the ground in a few weeks and will be flowering by mid-end December. They are a crowd favourite!

I have a few new varieties that I am looking forward to growing but I am even more excited to grow last year’s beauties that I bred! I also have many hundreds of dahlia seeds to get growing as part of this year’s breeding program too. Keep an eye on my socials to see the results.

Family life continues much the same way. Full of challenges, rewards, growth and laughter. Our youngest recently turned 12! Crazy to be think our baby is almost a teenager. I am at least still taller than one child. Not for long I know. It continues to be a challenge to balance all aspects of our life as all parents will resonate with.

However, Matthew 6:33 says to “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you.” This is our goal when navigating life and choosing how to prioritize.
